In 2025, I was lucky enough to stumble upon SAQA (Studio Arts Quilt Associates). I had heard of them before, but never thought that I could be considered an artist. I figured only the best of the best could join SAQA.
Then I met the wonderful members of Florida Pod 5. They welcomed with me with open arms and enthusiasm! They helped me realize that everyone is an artist, and that SAQA is there to help me nurture my skills and my desire to do more art quilts.
I officially became a member in December of 2025, and have been able to submit a few quilts for SAQA benefit auctions. I am hoping to enter two juried shows in the next few months. I’ll keep you updated !
